The 2012 Mayor's Race 5K and Fun Run Presented by Cigna & Oncor is part of the race weekend festivities surrounding the 43rd running of the MetroPCS Dallas Marathon. The 5K (3.1 mile) event is for serious runners looking for a late-year 5K race, casual athletes looking for an interesting walking tour of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, or families seeking to get involved in the marathon weekend activities. For kids who would find a 5K too much of a challenge, there is also a Fun Run (approximately 1 mile).
