Event Details:
Old fashioned Texas chili cook-off. Outdoors, open air, chili cooked from scratch on-site. CASI sanctioned. 1st-10th Place, three Showmanship awards and one People's Choice. Part of Grand Street Fall Festival a family event with lots to see, do, eat and continuous stage entertainment; free admission. Preregistration recommended for space planning; $20 entry fee. Bring a canopy or cover for your cooking area. Public can buy tickets to sample all the chili and vote for the People's Choice awards. Judging panel consists of dignitaries from several towns and interested citizens. Door prizes, great raffles. Proceeds are divided equally among participating volunteer fire departments. Anyone, any age, can enter. It's as much fun as you can stand!
