Lewisville Lake Symphony will present its "Stars of the Future" program Friday, Feb. 22, at Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater, featuring the grand prize winner from the Vernell Gregg Young Artists Competition.
Show time is 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $10 for students. To order tickets, visit LewisvilleSymphony.tix.com or call 800-595-4849. Advance tickets cannot be purchased at MCL Grand.
"Rise to fame" will be a common theme in the evening's program, which opens the second half of the symphony's 2012-13 season with works by Mozart and Haydn along with a stunning performance of Beethoven featuring Vernell Gregg honoree William Chiang.
Chiang has been recognized for his superior interpretation and piano technique with prizes at competitions in Lewisville, Plano and Houston. He carries on a family tradition of musical excellence, following in the footsteps of his sister, Alison, who performed with the symphony in 2008.
