11-5A GIRLS SOCCER: Rowlett tops Garland in shootout

Rowlett enjoyed a bye on the opening day of 11-5A play but it was back to business on Tuesday.
Haley Rodriguez scored twice in regulation and the Eagles were able to do enough in penalty kicks to pull out a 3-2 victory over Garland.
Rowlett improves to 1-0 with games against Sachse on Friday and South Garland on Tuesday.
In addition to the showdown with the Eagles, the Mustangs will also take on Garland on Tuesday.
