Pedestrians air lifted from incident in Lewisville

At approximately 7:30 Monday night, two pedestrians were hit while crossing the street in the 1000 block of Fox Avenue.
Capt. Jay Powell said two CareFlite helicopters were sent to the scene and transported the victims to an area hospital. He said there are no fatalities. The driver of the vehicle that hit the pedestrians remained at the scene as police investigate the incident.
"We don't know right now if speed or alcohol was a factor, but with injuries like this, they'll usually draw blood from the driver," Powell said. "We don't know right now if the pedestrians were crossing at a crosswalk."
