The San Diego Sockers started their 48-game win streak Dec. 29, 2010.

It ended Sunday at the AEC as the Dallas Sidekicks beat the Sockers, 6-5 in overtime.

Dallas needed heroics to end the streak as Kraig Chiles blasted an 8-yard strike from the left elbow with 6.7 seconds left to force overtime. The Sidekicks scored again in overtime as Sagu made a save and outlet pass to Shaun David for a 1-on-1 and game-winning goal.

Jamie Lovegrove, who has 20 goals in 12 games, added four more to his ledger Sunday.

The win strengthened the Central Division lead for the Sidekicks, who are on the road today against the Las Vegas Leopards and Friday versus the Sockers. Dallas returns home Feb. 9 versus the Rockford Rampage and will retire the jersey of current head coach Tatu at halftime of the match.
