Winston Ray Bolton

Winston Ray Bolton of Bells, Texas, passed away January 14, 2013, at the age of 80.

He was born July 23, 1932, to K.C. and Mabel Geraldine (Swatsell) Bolton.

Winston attended Boyd High School in McKinney, Texas. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Winston married Elizabeth Smith on April 30, 1953, in McKinney, Texas. He was a member of the Granbury 392 Masonic Lodge, Bells 798 Masonic Lodge, where he was a past worshipful master in both lodges. Winston was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and Eastern Star. He was a former Scoutmaster, baseball coach, baseball commissioner and Texas Vital Care Services board member. Winston retired from TexasU after 38 years of service.

Winston is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bolton of Bells, Texas; daughters, Deborah Reynolds and husband Archie of Granbury, Texas, and Teresa Bryant and husband Danny of Cleburne, Texas; sons, Johnny Bolton and wife Tami of Katy, Texas, and James Bolton and wife Phyllis of Granbury, Texas; grandchildren, Jonathan Reynolds, Gidget Taylor, Jason Reynolds, Johnny Bolton Jr., Natasha Bolton, Shannon Basham, Christopher Bryant, Kristen Gilchrist and Nicholas Gilchrist; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen Bolton of Westminster, Bennie Mack Bolton of Sulphur Springs, and Doyle Bolton of Carson, California; and sister, Sue O'Neal of Anna, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, K.C. and Mabel Bolton; brothers, Jerry Bolton and Marshall Bolton; and sisters, Lois Montgomery and Geraldine Greer.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Friday, January 18, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas, with Chaplain David Taylor officating. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m.
