Chase Douglas Schroeter

Chase Douglas Schroeter, 21, of Austin, Texas, passed away January 9, 2013, in Austin, Texas.

Chase was born May 19, 1991, in Wylie, Texas, to Troy D. Schroeter and Kimberly Seals. He attended school in Sherman, Texas.

Chase worked in IT Technical Support at Dell in Austin. He was a storm chaser as well as having worked as a lumberjack.

Chase loved music and taught himself to play the guitar and was a talented songwriter. He was known for his acts of kindness.

He is survived by his mother, Kimberly Seals and Chris Windham of Allen, Texas; father, Troy D. Schroeter of McKinney, Texas; brother, Dakota Cox, also of Allen; sisters, Allyson Goldsberry and Erica Goldsberry, both of Garland, Texas; grandparents, Steve and Linda Seals of McKinney, Texas, and Doug and Sherrie Schroeter, also of McKinney; great-grandmothers, Beverly Huffman of Prosper, Texas, and Mildred Seals Renfro of McKinney, Texas; uncles and aunts, Aaron Schroeter and wife, Jeannie of Gunter, Texas, Stacy Dickerson and husband, Blake of Celina, Texas, Stephanie Bates and husband, Brad of Celina, Texas, Steve Seals Jr. and wife, Karen of McKinney, Texas, Brian Seals and wife, Becky of Anna, Texas, and RaeAnn Gibson and husband, Tommy of Wichita Falls, Texas; and numerous other cousins and family members.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Grover and Betty Russell; great-grandfathers, George Seals and Guy Huffman; and great-grandparents, Harold and Ann Schroeter.

A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas, with interment following at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family received friends during a visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
