Boys basketball: Langley's hot shooting leads Flower Mound past Marcus (web exclusive)

FLOWER MOUND -- Flower Mound's boys basketball team hit 3-pointers on three of its first four possessions Tuesday night and never looked back as the Jaguars pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Marcus, 66-48.
The Jaguars (1-1) led by nine entering the fourth, where they limited the Marauders (1-1) to seven points to seal the win.
Brandon Langley scored a team-high 26 points, including 7-of-15 from 3-point range, while Justin Gammill posted 15, including 12 in the first half with four 3-pointers. As a team, the Jaguars knocked down 13-of-26 from the perimeter.
Michael Wheeler paced Marcus with 13 points, while Jack Holden had 12 and Michael Mayhew and Aaron Steele scored 10 apiece.
The Marauders converted five threes of their own in the first half but made just one in the final two quarters.
Marcus continued at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Hebron while Flower Mound looks for two in a row at the same time at home against Denton Ryan.
