The McKinney North girls (1-0) defeated Plano East 2-0 in their first game of the tourney. Belicia Mendiola scored both goals for North, one in the first half and one in the second half. North will play their next two games of the tournament against Canyon Randall and El Paso Del Valle. The McKinney North boys, meanwhile, lost their opener to Midlothian, 2-0.
