SMITH
Emma Evelyn Smith, 86, of Princeton, Texas, passed away December 27, 2012, in Frisco, Texas.
Evelyn was born March 10, 1926, in Bloomdale Community, Texas, to George Washington and Sarah E. (Phillips) Howard. She married Nathan David Smith on October 14, 1944, in McKinney, Texas.Evelyn worked for the Collin County Tax Assessor-Collector office for a number of years and enjoyed farm life with Nathan. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton since 1959.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan D. Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Gayle and Larry Joe Combest; granddaughter, Kristi Neacole Combest; grandson, Johnny Kyle Cotten; four brothers; and five sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 31, 2012, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
