Quinell D. Day, 78, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012.
She was born January 11, 1934, in Headland, Alabama to Marvin Roosevelt Lanton and Lonie May Peterson Lanton. Quinell married Duma Everett Davenport who preceded her in death in 1957. She later married W. A. Day, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1989.
Quinell is survived by her three children, Sandra Davenport, Gary Keith Davenport and Stephen Eugene Davenport; six grandchildren, Jennifer Eysermans, Isaac Davenport, Emily Davenport, Samuel Davenport, Jordan Taylor Hoggard and Andrew Davenport; sisters, Dorothy Lanton, Linda Peaden, Joyce Peterson and Judy Lewis; and brother, Eudon Lanton.
She enjoyed making other people happy through her artwork, her songs and her stories.
A memorial service to celebrate Quinell's life will be held 4:30 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville. The family requests memorial contributions to be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. For online condolences please visit www.mulkeymason.com.
