On Thursday, December 20, Kindergarten through 8th grade students of Faith Lutheran School presented the Christmas program "Light a Candle."

The event featured pre-service music by the school's explorer band, concert band, keyboard classes, recorders and handbells.

"Through recited parts and familiar hymns such as "Of the Father's Love Begotten," "O Come, O Come Emmanuel," "Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming," "Away in a Manger," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" and "Now Sing We Now Rejoice," the children told the story of Christ's birth in a stable in a manger in Bethlehem," said Faith Lutheran School Principal Christian Boehlke of Wylie. "It was a pleasure to see school students, faculty and staff gather with family, friends and the community to hear the Christmas story told in this way."
