Heritage junior outside hitter Daisha Younger
The Lady Coyotes entered the postseason as the third seed from District 9-4A and took on second-place Carrollton Creekview in a Tuesday night bi-district match from Hebron High School.
Heritage dropped the opening set and found itself on the brink of a 2-0 hole after trailing for much of the second set. That’s when junior outside hitter Daisha Younger helped spark a comeback victory for the Lady Coyotes, evening the match at one set apiece.
“Where [Younger] has come from the beginning of the season is ridiculous,” said Laura Derdeyn, Heritage head coach. “She has worked harder than anyone to be here.”
The Lady Coyotes were slated for an area-round match against Molina last night. However, results were not available as of press time.
