For shoppers looking for a way to share the spirit, Vista Ridge Mall makes it easy. The shopping center hosts the Giving Tree benefiting Christian Community Action (CCA), a Lewisville-based organization that has been feeding, sheltering, educating and training families in need in 42 communities throughout Collin, Dallas, Denton, Tarrant and Wise counties for more than 35 years.

The Giving Tree, located in the Big Sky Café food court, is decorated with numbered tags with suggested gift ideas, including the age and gender of a child who will receive the gift. Contributors can remove one or more tags from the tree and purchase appropriate gifts based on the information on the tag. Shoppers return the gifts, unwrapped, to Vista Ridge Mall.

Christian Community Action places the donated items in the CCA Toy Store, where qualified recipients shop with vouchers to purchase toys for their children. Parents experience the joy of shopping for their child's gifts, wrapping these gifts and then giving the donated gifts to their children in the tradition of their family.

The last day to adopt someone from the Giving Tree is Sunday, December 23. All gifts must be delivered by that date. Volunteers will staff the tree through December 23, during most mall hours.

Vista Ridge Mall features over 135 specialty shops and eateries including Macy's, Dillard's, jcpenney, Sears and Cinemark. The shopping center is conveniently located at I-35E and the Sam Rayburn Tollway in Lewisville, Texas.
