Dear Editor,

On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere appreciation to all those many agencies, organizations, individuals and groups who contributed their time, resources, efforts and prayers during the recent search for our missing wife and mother, Janice Klein.

We are overjoyed to have found her and for the fact that she was safe and uninjured. We are truly humbled by the outpouring of support from the community at large and the unselfish dedication of so many people to assist with the search efforts. We especially want to express our thanks to the Plano Police Department whose extraordinary commitment throughout the ordeal never wavered and for their willingness to provide timely support, resources and assistance. Specifically, the courage and tenacity of Sgt. Stan Roady and Detective Beth Chaney, backed up by unwavering support from Chief Greg Rushin and his entire organization, helped us stay positive and productive throughout the nearly 60-hour search effort. At the risk of omitting anyone, the following is a partial list of those we directly know of who were instrumental in the collective efforts to bring her home safely:

Texas Equusearch, the Texas DPS Safety Aircraft Division, Rescue One, Mark-9 Metro Area Rescue K-9, Boy Scout Troop 261 from Christ United Methodist Church, Victim Relief Ministries, the Plano Independent School District, Mr. Ross Perot Jr., the Dallas Police Department, DFW Public Safety, multiple Home Owner Associations, the local media channels, Chick-fil-A (Coit and Spring Creek), Country Burger (Parker and Independence) and Parkland Hospital.

We're especially thankful for all the members of our church, Custer Road United Methodist Church, for their fast and overwhelming volunteer turnout over the weekend, for their incredible coordination and leadership, and for the love and support of our Sunday school class.

Finally, we'd like to thank the hundreds of individual volunteers, many of whom we've never met, that endured blistering temperatures to search local neighborhoods, retail establishments and open areas across a large portion of the city. With each new day, we hear new stories of countless old and new friends around the country and the world who prayed for our family and provided monetary donations to purchase supplies.

We are so blessed to live in such a caring community and with all of our hearts we thank each and every person who participated.

Robert Klein family
