Christmas on the Square: Celina's community tree-lighting ceremony takes place Nov. 30

Celina will kick-off the holiday season Friday, Nov. 30 by hosting Christmas On The Square, a free tree-lighting ceremony and holiday festival for residents and surrounding communities. Santa Claus and Mayor Pro tem Todd McCally will kick-off the holiday season and light the Christmas tree at 6 p.m.
The celebration offers seasonal activities for the entire family including the lighting of the community tree, caroling, face painting and a petting zoo. It also includes train rides, pony rides, holiday pictures and children activities. There will be cookies, hot chocolate, coffee, popcorn and much more. Various choirs will perform on stage throughout the night. Merchants will also be hosting a variety of activities including special promotions both inside and outside their stores, as well as deals for attendees to start their holiday shopping.
