Plano ISD will host a series of parent meetings Nov. 12 at Hunt Elementary School.

The meetings will come less than three weeks after a tense confrontation brought a premature end to a parent meeting at the school regarding the arrest of Todd Reich, a physical education teacher accused of sexually abusing a 9-year-old student.

Parents are being asked to register online to attend the meetings and select one of six meeting times: 7:15 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 1:15 p.m., 3:00 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. Registration will close at noon Wednesday. The meetings are intended to provide parents with information about district practices and protocols, answer parent questions and gather parent input, according to a notice on the Hunt website.

Representatives from the district's human resources, safety and security services and campus services departments will join Superintendent Richard Matkin for the meetings.

Groups of parents will meet with each department for approximately 15 minutes. Information compiled at the meeting will be sent to Hunt Principal Arron Moeller for possible inclusion in the school's Violence Prevention and Bullying Improvement Plan.
