Marcus, Hebron, Coppell bands reach finals

The Marcus, Coppell and Hebron high school bands finished in the top 10 to reach the finals at the UIL Class 5A State Marching Band Contest on Tuesday.
Coppell will perform at 8:30 p.m. today, Marcus will perform at 9 p.m. and Hebron will perform at 10 p.m., with the champion being named at 11:15 p.m.
The other bands that reached the finals are Richardson Berkner, Hurst L.D. Bell and Arlington Bowie, as well as Claudia Taylor Johnson, The Woodlands, Ronald Regan and Austin Westlake.
Marcus is seeking its fourth straight state championship.
