FLOWER MOUND, Texas ---- One of the most entertaining and produced comedy farces of all time, Charley’s Aunt, will be presented by the Flower Mound High School Theatre Dramatic Paws October 11-13 (Thursday-Saturday).

Curtain for the three performances of Charley’s Aunt is 7:00 p.m. at the FMHS Jack and Donna Clark Auditorium (3411 Peters Colony Road, Flower Mound). Tickets are $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for students, and will be available outside the FMHS main office October 11-12 during lunch hours (11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.) and one hour prior to curtain each night.

Charley’s Aunt follows college undergraduates Jack, played by Emilio Mazur, and Charley, played by Jake Emmett, in their search of a chaperone to oversee a proper visit from their girlfriends. The duo pull classmate Fancourt “Babs” Babberly (Austin Roa) into a scheme to impersonate Charley’s wealthy aunt and supervise the evening with Kitty and Amy. Katie Decker and Alex Giuffreda are cast as the girlfriends for the Thursday and Saturday performances with Morgan Haney and Jamie Woolf filling the roles for the Friday show.

The FMHS Dramatic Paws are joined in presentation of Charley’s Aunt by the Dramatic Technical Paws under the direction of junior stage manager Sydney Gustafson.

The three-act comedy was written by Brandon Thomas and was first staged in England in February 1892. A successful run on Broadway began in 1893 with international tours, continual revivals and adaptations for stage, screen and musicals over the last 120 years. The FMHS presentation of Charley’s Aunt is produced in special arrangement with the Samuel French Play Service.
