Oktoberfest at Atonement

Jim Rommel provides German tunes for Atonement's Oktoberfest celebration
By Brent Nemmers
Once again Atonement Lutheran Church (4412 Legacy Drive, Plano) will celebrate its German heritage with an Oktoberfest, Saturday October 6th from 5-8pm. German settlers founded the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod in 1850. While most of the members of Atonement do not trace their heritage back to Germany, they enjoy this annual tribute to the land of Luther. Live music, great food, and activities for all ages are the order of the day. The public is encouraged to attend.
