CROSSEN

Dr. James Brent Crossen (Jim), was born October 10, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana, and passed away on September 7, 2012 in Valley Ranch, Texas, with his loving wife at his side.
Jim was a successful oral surgeon who practiced in Mesquite, Texas. He attended Cathedral High School in Indianapolis and graduated from Marion College and Indiana University Dental School.
Jim is survived by his wife LaDawn Crossen and her children Ryan Farris & Jaime Kerecman. Jim had eight children with his prior wife, Maryln Crossen, who currently resides in Dallas. Jim is survived by his daughters Sherrie Crossen, Andrea Crossen, Tanya Banowsky; and his sons Trevor, Kirk, Trent, & Chad Crossen. He is preceded in death by his oldest daughter, Dannette Crossen. Jim is also survived by Jumal Winter, and his many other grandchildren, which he loved dearly.
Jim served as a Captain in the Army in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his service. Jim loved the outdoors, including fishing, traveling, and regular trips to Canada to land the trophy Northern Pike. Jim had an incredible sense of humor and one of his best qualities is in his humor; he could laugh at himself. He will be greatly missed by all the people he touched the lives of on a daily basis.
Memorial services were held on Friday, September 14, 2012, at Preston Road Church of Christ in Dallas. X.
