| Betty Hazel Cannedy |
Betty Hazel Cannedy of McKinney, Texas passed away August 30, 2012 at the age of 91.
She was born May 21, 1921 to Troy and Fannie (Gadberry) Holder in Sanger, Texas. Betty grew up in McKinney.She married Ernest Kelly Cannedy on January 17, 1935 in McKinney, Texas.
Betty was a member of the Church of God.
She is survived by her children; Fannie Alexander, Jimmie Cannedy and wife Beverly, Donna Price and Sheron Hurt; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rhelda Bailey and many nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Troy Holder and Fannie Bailey; husband, Ernest Cannedy; son, Ernest R. Cannedy; daughter, Mary Fay Hickey; granddaughter, Jennifer Renee Hurt; grandson, Kelly Wayne Hickey; two brothers, Dub and Bill Bailey.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Tom Ogden officiating. Interment is to follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
