Ronald Lee Baze
Funeral services for Ronald Lee Baze will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday September 8 at the Whitewright Church of Christ. Burial will follow at West Hill Cemetery with Pat Kaczor, Tommy Henderson, Lane Selman, Steven Finley, Mark Welch, and Clint Shaffer serving as pallbearers. Brad Roberts, Ryan Doerner and Josh Boothe will be honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Baze, 70, passed away Wednesday September 5 at the Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham.

Ronald was born February 12, 1942 in Bells, TX to the late John P. and Nancy (Carter) Baze.

He graduated from Southmayd Schools in 1960 and married Letha Boothe on November 18, 1961 in Madill, OK.

Mr. Baze worked for 20 years at Texas Power and Light, retiring in 1984. He later worked as a homebuilder and developer, raised cattle, and co-owned the Discovery Learning Center in McKinney.

He was a Christian and had been a member of the Church of Christ since 1963.

"Cotton", as he was known to his friends, truly enjoyed life and people. He was a true example of a "people person." Traveling to Colorado to vacation with friends or enjoying coffee at the local coffee shops was met with equal enthusiasm. His entertaining personality will be missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Baze loved and adored his family (especially his grandchildren) and is survived by his wife of 50 years, Letha of Whitewright; two daughters, Micah Nedrow and husband Craig of McKinney and Melanie Kaczor and husband Pat of Whitewright; five grandchildren, Brad Roberts of Dallas, Aleisha Finley and husband Steven of McKinney, Linsey Henderson and husband Tommy of Whitewright, Amanda Selman and husband Lane of Frisco, and Kaitlyn Kaczor of College Station; five great-grandchildren, Kennedy Stokes, Luke Finley, Lane Finley, Olivia Finley, and Reese Henderson; two sisters, Martha Baze of Sherman and Margaret Welch and husband Albert of Sherman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bill Baze, Jerry Baze, and Johnny Paul Baze; and one sister, Margie Walker.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Waldo Funeral Home. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Taysir Jarrah over his compassionate care for the last 20 years.

Memorials may be made to the Arms of Hope Ministry at 21300 State Hwy 16 North, Medina, TX 78055.
