John Paul II's most successful boys basketball head coach to date is no longer with the team.
Chad Evans, who led the Cardinals to the TAPPS 5A State Tournament in 2010-11 and TAPPS 5A State Finals in 2011-12, has resigned.
He will be replaced by Jacob Anderson.
Anderson, who played college basketball at South Plains Junior College and John Brown before graduating from North Texas, has been at John Paul for four years. He has served as the freshman coach, JV coach and a varsity assistant for Evans.
John Paul recently replaced its girls hoops coach with Mike Martin taking over for Katie Hensle.
