SONNTAG
Emil Walter Sonntag II, 64 of Cooper, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 in Tyler.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel, with Gary Regan officiating, and interment was at the Restlawn Cemetery in Hopkins County, Texas.Mr. Sonntag was born on September 25, 1947 in Collin County. He was the son of Thomas Marvin Sonntag and Edna Marie (Calhoun) Sonntag.
He was a member of the Elm Ridge Baptist Church in Como.
On June 9, 1973, he married Susan Benson.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Sonntag of Cooper; son, Kip Sonntag & wife, Callie of Cooper; brothers, Paul Sonntag & wife, Faye of Tyler, Marlin Sonntag & wife, Martha of DeSoto ; and a sister, Anita Young & husband, Gary of Sulphur Bluff. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Chani, Kelei and Baler Sonntag.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Kerry Scott Sonntag.
