Scooter's Coffee & Frozen Yogurt Named ' Military Friendly Franchise' Press Releaset
Financial incentives among Scooter's efforts to recruit veterans.
By Thought District
Portsmouth, N.H., June 26, 2012 -- Scooter's Coffee & Frozen Yogurt is honored to be included on the 2012 Military Friendly Franchise list, which represents the top 10 percent of the nation's franchises that are doing the most to recruit military veterans.
The G.I. Jobs Military Friendly Franchise team determines the list through exhaustive research that begins with a comprehensive survey of more than 4,000 franchises. A Military Friendly Franchise Advisory Board, consisting of three franchise industry experts, helps determine survey questions and weightings based on: a franchise's success in recruiting military and veterans; policies and programs that measure a franchise's non-financial efforts to recruit and retain military veterans; and financial commitment to recruiting and retaining veterans.
Benefits that Scooter's offers military veteran franchisees include: $20,000 credit toward product during their first year of operation; operational support if a franchisee is called up for Guard or Reserve duty; and a Franchise Support Team dedicated to helping veterans (and all franchisees) run a successful business. In addition, Scooter's is a member of the International Franchise Association's Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran), a voluntary program designed to encourage franchise ownership by offering financial incentives to honorably discharged veterans.
