Little Elm Dance Force, Kids-N-Art and Frisco are hosting their first annual Adventures in Toyland productions auditions from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on July 25 at 3221 Preston Rd. in Frisco. Call 972-712-6829 to make an appointment.

Water conservation

The town of Little Elm is under phase one conservation. No watering between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. By not watering during these times more water soaks into the ground instead of being evaporated during the heat of the day. It also helps to preserve Lake Lavon's water levels.

Denton County burn permits

The disposal of vegetation by open burning is permitted in unincorporated Denton County and in some cities (unincorporated areas) but only on a day that has been determined to be a “good burn day.” The burn day status is determined each morning about 8 a.m. Residents of unincorporated areas of the county are now required to purchase a controlled burn permit prior to open outdoor burning. Contact the Denton county Emergency Services office at 940-349-2840 for information on how to obtain a burn permit.
