The Easter Bunny arrives at The Shops at Willow Bend

On March 13 beginning at 11 a.m., The Shops at Willow Bend will celebrate the arrival of the Easter Bunny with its second annual Butterfly Egg-stravaganza. The morning is packed full of activities, all held in the Grand Court near Neiman Marcus. Guests can enjoy a Butterfly Fashion Show, a butterfly release and education session, and, of course, time with the Easter Bunny, who just happens to be soft, snuggly and six-feet tall.
The schedule for the 2010 Butterfly Egg-stravaganza includes:
11:00 to 11:15 a.m.: All about butterflies with Tony the Butterfly Guy.
11:30 to 11:45 a.m.: Butterfly Release.
11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.: DJ, face painter and balloon artist.
11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.: Children’s retailers will highlight spring fashions and guest can visit the participating stores for a chance to win a $200 Gift Card.
11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.: It’s the Easter Bunny’s first day on the job. He will be available for photos every day through Saturday, April 3. [See below for daily hours.]
TONY THE BUTTERFLY GUY AT THE 2009 EGG-STRAVAGANZA
As a special treat for guests, Tony the Butterfly Guy, a specialist in monarch butterflies, will release a small flock of butterflies in the shopping center. Guests of all ages will enjoy watching the brightly colored butterflies as they flit and flirt around. During the morning, Tony, a resident of Lake Highlands, will also stop and share his knowledge about the monarchs, entertaining children and adults with his wealth of information about the delicate little creatures.
2009 BUTTERFLY EGG-STRAVAGANZA FASHION SHOW
Easter fashions will be in the spotlight, too when retailers, including Adrenalina, Brooks Brothers, Gymboree, Janie and Jack, Strasburg Children and Sweet & Sassy, host a Fashion Show with the latest spring looks for children. Boys and girls will walk the runway modeling clothes for everyday play and school, plus styles for special occasions, such as Easter morning.
2009 VISIT WITH THE EASTER BUNNY
When Butterfly Egg-stravaganza is over, the Easter Bunny will bid his new friends good-bye and settle down in his Flowering spring Garden and be ready for little ones to come and visit – and pose for a commemorative photo.
The Easter Bunny will be at The Shops at Willow Bend daily through Saturday, April 3. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6:00 p.m. There is no charge to visit with the Easter Bunny and photo packages are priced from $13.00 to $40.00.
