Softball: Lady Lions drop district openers

Despite out-hitting Richardson Pearce by one March 9, R.L. Turner’s softball team came up on the short end of the scoreboard in a 8-5 defeat in both teams District 10-4A openers.
Monica Sanchez and Priscilla Quintanilla tripled for Turner, with Edith Rangel adding a double.
The Lady Lion bats struggled Friday against Newman Smith, however, as the Lady Trojans blanked Turner, 10-0.
