Final week of Summer Rhythms by the Lake on June 26
The Town of Little Elm and the Little Elm Chamber of Commerce present Summer Rhythms by the Lake every Friday night in June. The Vic Duncan Band will perform the final week of Summer Rhythms. The music is free. Bring a picnic supper and your lawn chair to enjoy the music at Little Elm Park.
U.S. Army Freedom Team Salute honors Army veterans
July Jubilee will be held on July 4
July Jubilee will be held from 4 p.m. To 11 p.m. On July 4 at Little Elm Park. There will be activities for kids, food and merchandise vendors, games, and live entertainment. The evening will end with a professional fireworks display over Lewisville Lake. There will be no public parking in Little Elm Park. The Town of Little Elm will provide several shuttles between Little Elm Park, Lakeside Junior High, Powell Intermediate, and Cottonwood Sports Complex. Author to speak in Little Elm
Author Linda Jones will speak on coping with grief at 2 p.m. On June 27 at the Zip It Postal and Auction Center in Little Elm. She has written “It's Only Temporary...A Journal for Surviving Loved Ones” and conducts workshops on writing through grief. For information call 469-362-9355.
Neighborhood Watch will meet July 21
Neighborhood Watch meets the third Tuesday of every month from 7 n 9 p.m. at the Button First United Methodist Church in the conference room. For information call Shawn Crutcher at 469-223-0078.
Lewisville Lake Toll Bridge to open Aug. 1 with a run across the bridge
There will be a 5K run and a family fun walk across the new Lewisville Lake Bridge on Aug. 1. All activities will being on the Lake Dallas side of the bridge. Visit www.runlltb.com for information.
Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney will hold Crape Myrtle Craze
Crape Myrtle Trails of McKinney will hold Crape Myrtle Craze on une 27. The event will include bus tours of McKinney's 14 miles of crape myrtle trails, a plant sale, and speakers including Neil Sperry, president of the Crape Myrtle Trails board.
