Come to the book fair at Little Elm Library
By Tina Hager
Looking for inexpensive ways to have fun? One way to enjoy the fresh air and watch something cool is to find an airport and watch the planes take off and land.
New bestsellers added this week include ‘The Story of Edgar Sawtelle” by David Wroblewski; “The Broken Window” by Jeffery Deaver; “Lush Life” by Richard Price; and “What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception”; Scott McClellan.
On, July 17, author Joe Riley, “The Conivin’ Cowboy”, will be speaking at the Little Elm Writers group that meets from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.. Joe will be talking about his book “Magic, Luck, or Guardian Angels.” In his biography he states that he currently resides in south-central Pennsylvania so this is a special opportunity for people to meet him and talk to him about his book and writing in general while he is in Texas.
For the first time in the history of the Little Elm Library we’re having a second Scholastic Book Fair during the same summer. For those of you who missed it in June or just didn’t get enough of a good thing, the book fair will be held from July 19 through Saturday, July 26 during regular hours. Clifford the Big Red Dog will be popping in on the 19 at 10:15 to kick off the book fair fundraiser. You helped us raise $300 to spend at the book fair last month and we look forward to your continuing support to buy more books from the fair this month.
Wait, there is more. Author Wendy Sterner will be reading her book “Seymore Monster” at the July 19 family story time that starts at 10:30 a.m.. I heard a rumor that she might let the kids create their own monster.
What is this Sudoku thing and how do you play it, better yet, how do you say it? If this is a question you have been asking yourself, then it is time to stop by the library on, July 22 at 4 p.m. when you can learn how to play and say this thing called Sudoku.
Got a question? We got the answer. If not, we will do everything possible to find it for you. Contact the library at 214-975-0430, email library@littleelm.org, or visit the library website at http://www.ci.little-elm.tx.us/library.
