What has a lot of bounce, hot dogs, balloon animals, and 7,000 eggs? The Town of Little Elm egg hunt event! Hop on over to the Fields at Cottonwood Park, 605 Lobo Lane, on March 15th from 10a.m.-1 p.m. The egg hunt for all ages starts at 10:30 a.m. sharp so come early. The ages of the hunt include 0-3, 4-6, and 7 to adult. Remember that dogs, besides edible hot dogs, are not allowed in the park.

Many thanks to the business sponsors Country Meadows Pet Inn and Doggy Day spa for providing the two bounce houses, soft drinks, and grand prizes for each of the age categories; Sweet Tooth General Store for providing hot dogs and serving the drinks; Kindermusik with Amy for providing balloon animals and face painting, and Chick-fil-A for providing a game with prizes, coupons, and a visit from Moodles. The Easter Bunny will be making its grand appearance on a Little Elm fire truck so bring your cameras for a lot of photo opportunities. Come frolic at this fun family friendly function.

While you are waiting for the egg hunt to arrive, check out some of the new bestsellers that have arrived at the library. “7th Heaven” by James Patterson; “Sword Song”: “The Battle for London” by Bernard Cornwell; and “Liberal Fascism: the Secret History of the American Left from Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning” by Jonah Goldberg (a can’t-miss-it book because it is red with a yellow smiley face with mustache).

Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 8th when the Little Elm library will be holding its book sale from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Maggie, the dog, will be the special guest at the 10:30 a.m. family story time that same day.

In honor of February 2008 Black History month and beyond, Robin B. Void of Voidteam and Company is sponsoring an Embrace-Encourage-Educate-essay contest. Age categories that can participate are 6-11, 12-17, and 18 and over. The essay question is “What African-American person, past, present or upcoming, do you admire or respect for their achievements or contributions to our local, national, or global community, and why?” Contest rules can be picked up at the Little Elm library and must be returned by Monday, March 24th by 3 p.m.

For more information about anything contact the library at 214-975-0430, email library@littleelm.org or visit the town website at www.littleelm.org and click on library.
